XC70 Recharge A/C - Need Intake Adapter-R134A
the 2003 XC70 A/C refill/intake port is a different connector size than the universal recharge kit coupling (diameter smaller-wont fit over nipple). the recharge kit came w. only 1 compression fit adapter (plastic). probably meant for american cars. I bought it at advance auto parts-EZChill brand. It works on my daughters 2001 Toyota GT. Sorry for bad typing. Had L/Shoulder surgery 3 days ago. Can only type with one hand. Where can I find one? You may not be using the right port.
The one you should be using is ion the frame rail directly in front of timing belt cover. You will hve to lift the coolant hose from the fender mounted tank to see it. The two fitting sizes are done to prevent using the wrong one where the pressure can explode the refrigerant can.

The fitting protruding through the hood striker plate is high pressure port and is not the one you want to connect to...As pointed out, the low pressure port is down low near the serpentine belt...That's the one you want to connect to for a recharge...They deliberately make them different sizes so that you cannot make a mistake and connect the can to the high pressure side, which can have close to 300psi, depending on certain conditions...That can exolode the can and injure someone...
