2001 S60 2.4T front end vibrates on braking over 60 MPH

Let me start by thanking all that contribute to this forum. It has been a resource that has saved me thousands of dollars.
I own a 2001 that I purchased in March 2012. I have put almost 10000 miles on it since I got it. I have a problem that I am at a loss to fix. anytime I try to brake (also called slowing down) at speeds over 60 MPH I get a violent shaking of the front of the car. It stops once the speed drops below 60 MPH. It is so violent that the wheel and the whole front end shakes.
Any ideas? I replaced the passenger side CV joint with one I got from FCP.
I appreciate any suggestions and help.

You probably need new front brake rotors (and pads)

It could also be control arms, try getting on the brake a little harder, usually if it is control arms then braking harder usually makes the vibration go a way due to the stress placed on the control arms.

It goes away when I slam hard on the brakes. I will check the control arms. Thank you
