Where the two heater core hoses connect to the firewall in the engine bay? And I mean leaking like an open water faucet.... As of right now, no clleant in the car (drivers/passenger floor) how does this happen? Do I need new hoses? Are there new connections?? looking for tips and advice. Thank you in advance!

There is a firewall connection you can get from the stealer ipd or some other parts supplier.

In the mean time you can remove the hoses inside and out, remove the junction, and connect a 5/8" house between them (with clamps).

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR WITH NO COOLANT. It will be the death to the motor.

If they are both leaking, then likely the plastic coupler through the firewall has finally cracked and the hoses come loose. If its' just one of them, maybe the clips just came loose somehow and it can be reseated.

You have two options if the coupler is broken, to replace it or to get rid of it by running 5/8 heater hose through there. Do some searches, there are pros and cons to each method but for me, I went with heater hoses so I never have to deal with the coupler again. IMHO it is a poor design.

1+,

Keep the coupler but drill holes in it to allow heater hoses to go through.

Get new heater hose (autoparts store) and run from heater ---> through firewall ---> engine.

Then seal the gap (between the drilled out coupler and the 2 heater hoses) using "Duct Seal", $2.00 at Home Depot, which is the same stuff used to seal piping that goes through the home. It is like chewing gum but remains flexible in different weather conditions.
