Fuel smell cause

Fuel smell cause

Our 2006 XC90 has recently developed a problem where upon accelerating from a stop sign or traffic light results in a fuel smell for a few minutes in the cabin. Could this be a PCV related problem or does anyone have an idea what I should be looking for?

There is a recall for this - ours was repaired for free at the Volvo dealer. I think its a faulty fuel pump.
