Drivers window making strange noise

My driver's window on my 1998 S70 has been making this weird scraping/grating noise going down for quite a while since it's been in my ownership. All of the other windows go up and down with the normal electric motor noise you would expect....
The driver's side window does too, but whenever it gets about 1/2-3/4 the way up, it makes a strange grating/scraping noise but continues moving just fine. It's not so much a problem as a minor annoyance-it doesn't appear to scratch or damage the window in any way. I've gotten used to it, but other people notice it riding in my car.
I have replaced the brushes in the motor because they were worn down to almost nothing, but that seems unrelated to the problem as it existed before that.
All the window seals and everything appear intact, as does the felt strip, and I replaced the plastic rollers due to one being broken, but it made the noise before that.

Anyone have any ideas as to what to look into in there? Mechanism, seals, etc?
The door has never been crashed into, so rule that out.

Greased the rails? White Lithium Grease or graphite. Mine made grinding noise for 3-4 months, regulator gears wore out had to replace whole assembly in C70. S70 much simplier. Check rollers for cables also. Patio screen door metal rollers same size, and metal not plastic. Late reply, did you get it fixed?

I bought this OEM guide rail for around $20. I was getting a clunking sound when going to the full down position. But in my case, I found pieces from a previously broken window inside the door. They actually left one of th the aluminum track pieces from the old glass to rattle around inside the bottom. I didn't install that guide rail yet, but I still hear some noise when shutting the door. So maybe I'll do it in the spring.
