Open Crankcase Port? Oil splashing 2002 S60 - 2.5 non-turbo

Hello all, I have a 2002 S60 with the 5cyl. 2.5 non-turbo. Problem is on the exhaust side (back) of the engine there is an open port to the crakcase. Normally this causes no issues however during high RPM's oil will splash out onto the heat shield and smoke. I've attached a couple pictures showing the location of the port, but I don't know what part(s) I'm missing. Any ideas from the experts???

Its the turbo oil return port. Volvo sells a plug. Its just a standard freeze plug. Check local part stores by phone explaining the diameter needed.

Thanks, I did get a 20mm freeze plug and got it installed last night. Seems to be alright. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something else.

Hi, I could really use some help with this same issue. 2002 V70. I have the plug but can't get it to seat in the hole. Just not enough room up under the exhaust manifold for a large enough hammer, plus the hole is angled upward so getting decent access is really tough. I'm using a 12mm socket inside the plug and a few different smaller hammers. I've also tried every little extension and gimmick I can think of, no results. Just can't get enough force on it to drive it in. Any tips?

I would try to use a hair dryer to warm up the plug.

Heating the plug will make it slightly expand. Might want to freeze the plug. Put some oil on the hole if there isn't any there now.
You may need to remove the exhaust manifold it you can't get it in.

As an interim solution may be this type of rubber expansion plug could help.
