I have a 95 850 turbo sedan with 220,000 on it it just started dying on me randmoly and then wont start . after it dies ill wait a couple minutes and then it starts again but not all the time.
Ive replaced the distributor cap & rotor all spark plugs & wires
Fuel relay ,Fuel pump, Fuel filter was replaced only 1000 miles ago. and fuel injector pressure regulator
It with crank but wont start always or if it does start it will start hard and then die out or if it starts and runs only will run for couple minutes and then shut off . It doesnt bogg out like its running out of fuel or anything so im clueless on what to do
Im currently replacing all vaccum lines to see if that helps
My MAF is good . sO i know its not that
Whent he car does die i do have good pressure at the fuel rail.
Im am not sure what is causing it not to run or stay running.
Hel[p please!!

I believe either the cam sensor, RPM sensor, or fuel pump relay can shut these Volvo's off if any malfunction, so you can go from running to not running without warning. The other stuff you mentioned doesn't normally shut the car down without warning, it just runs worse and worse.
I've seen an intermittant cam sensor on a Ford Taurus that would usually work and sometimes not work. On that car I think it would use the crank sensor as a backup because the car would still run, but it would misfire and shudder like crazy.
Here's a good write-up about a cam sensor problem.

well a couple.months later i figured out the problem
it ending up actually being the ignition coil
do not buy the ones from advanve auto parts i went thru 6 of them within 4 month time frame
one day was working under the car and i got shovked from the coil so idecided to get new one just to see not thinking that would be the issue well i replaced it same day amd the car started and drove fine not a problem
crazy how that happend all that work for the coil beig bad from the store my luck !
