99 S70 AWD

Post by stickbrick »

Hello All
Over the summer I bought a 99 s70 AWD car runs and drives great no noises from the drivetrain has a new prop shaft everything was great. Now we have snow on the ground and I realize No AWD front tires spin backs do nothing now I have a used VC and bevel gear outof a 99 cross Im just wondering if it is reall worth the trouble i have had a few I ran FWD bytakikng out prop shaft with no problem. I am assuming at this point it is the VC that has failed when I got the car the tires were mismatched and such.
Now if do decide to change the VC should I invest in a dial guage or is this not nessacart since i got the whole torque tube as an assembley. Now I have read many post hear On MVS that say its as simple as bolting up the new torque tube/VC . is that true.
Thanks In Advance
