1999 S70 Check Engine and Flashing Winter Mode

Post by markkohlenberg- »

I bought a 1999 volvo S70 GLT and I found out I have the codes P0717, P0715, and P1618 with the check engine light and the winter mode arrow flashing. I hear that this means I need to replace my input speed sensor to my transmission. Is that the only problem? I understand what some of the codes mean but not exactly what parts I need to replace to fix them, any ideas?

How is the trans shifting?

What other lights are on?

The trans is fine except sometimes when shifting into reverse it shifts hard. And those are the only two lights other than the service light that comes on to tell me I need a oil change.
