1996 Volvo 850 GLT P1308

Post by dqbitis »

Hello. I posted about this car having an intermittent stalling problem a few months ago. I appreciated the quick responses that lead me to buying an OBDII scanner. I received the scanner today and the code that pops up is P1308. Reading on this and other sites, I see a few possibilities of what this code could mean. Either the acceleration sensor or the AC clutch. If it helps at all to diagnose, when the car cold starts it starts immediately every time and sounds good. After a few miles you can kind of feel the slightest hesitations in the smoothness of the engine. Like its losing power for a split second. Sometimes when its doing this and you come to a stop it will die and be hard to restart immediately. Or if you try to gas it too hard from a dead stop it will die. As I said, this is only once its warmed up to operating temperature. Assuming the acceleration sensor has something to do with stopping and starting, I would assume that is my problem. I have also found contradictory information as to where the acceleration sensor is. Any help is appreciated and anymore information I can provide please let me know. Again, thank you all in advance for your vast volvo knowledge!
