I have a 2006 s80 with hid headlights
When I hit moderate bumps the high beam headlights fall down.. To the low beam position, although the dash indicator still says the high beams are on.
Flipping back and forth from high to low beam 2 or 3 times fixes the issue.
What is going on here? Any ideas?
Thanks!

I have been searching the Internet like crazy, unable to find much information on this self leveling headlight system.
I have located the rear leveling sensor on the drivers side rear suspension.
Should I have a similar sensor with 4inch plastic arm contraption on the front as well?
I have read that other models have them
Front and rear.
I am not getting any headlight related messages from the message screen. And both lights fall in unison.
I am thinking "hopeing" that I have a sensor issue as the sensors are attched to the suspension, and obviously the suspension moves over bumps.
It is strange that flicking back and forth from low to high beam brings them back up....
I haven't had an opportunity to remove the tires and Inspect the rear sensor yet, just wish I could find someone online who has experienced this or has a solution.
I'll update this thread when I figure it out tho.
Quite an over engineered system....

Problem solved!!
The rear leveling sensor is attached to the car by a single rivit.
Then from the sensor there is a metal rod connecting the senso to the control arm.
The metal rod has a small ball joint at each end to allow proper movement, but my lower joint was seized. Due to the joint being fused it put increased forces on the actuall sensor itself and broke the single rivit that holds the sensor.
My sensor was just floating around in there.
The fix consisted of removing the sensor, freeing up the seized joint with lube and tools, reinstalling with a new rivit.
The high beams now stay up when hitting bumps!!
