Just curious - did you consider cutting through the floor to replace the fuel pump?

Hi dwmeganbob,

Sorry it took so long for me to respond to your question. Just noticed it today. LOL!

I didn't really consider cutting through the floor only due to the fact that no matter how well you seal the cut up and seal it off there is always that chance of water leakage as well as corrosion setting in. And once rust starts, it's a real pita to kill unless you cut out all of the affected area and weld in new metal.

Not really something I have the heart to take a chance on consider there is not one spec of rust currently on the car.

09/26/13 - 110,450 Miles – The Volvo started to shake violently upon start-up then the “check engine” light came on. I hooked up the scanner and found a P0302 “Cylinder #2 Misfire Detected.” Found that the cylinder # 2 ignition coil had failed. I purchased one ignition coil and 5 new Bosch FR7DPP+ spark plugs. I then cleared all codes from PCM, and verified that the misfire had gone away. The misfire did clear up and vehicle now runs like new. - $50.00

10/05/13 – 110,575 Miles – I purchased a premium Mahle oil filter, 7 quarts of Cam 2 Pro-Max Synthetic Blend motor oil, and a Dorman oil filter housing cap and performed an oil and filter. - $30.00
