Boost Gauge Not Working!!!

The boost gauge on my 1994 850 Turbo doesn't work (the gauge always stays in the middle no matter what). Can anyone give me any information on why it's not working and how to fix it? Thanks To All!

The link points out that the most likely failure is in the vacuum lines.

One link in that thread is another link to a thread that I made about the vacuum lines under the battery tray being worn through. You can also check the vacuum like behind the cluster, it may be loose.

+1 on the vacuum lines. My boost gauge did not work either on my 96 when I first bought it and even though car seemed to run fine, the turbo hoses needed replacement. After replacement the gauge started working again, but I also did replace a couple of the vacuum lines so can't be sure which had the most positive effect. I thrust the people who have replied to you in this thread because they sure have saved me a lot of time and money.

Hi! I am dealing with the same issue on my 97 850. Can anyone link me to photos, or a diagram. of what hoses to look for that may need replacing? I am new to looking for turbo lines and I don't know what to look for. Thanks!

The vacuum line for the boost guard is clipped onto the driver's side hood release cable near the battery and runs through a loom to connect at the throttle body.
