To check the mass air flow sensor you can depress the metal clip and unplug it. Then try to start the car. This puts the computer is limp home mode and if it starts right up then plug up the mass air sensor again if it will not start now you have a bad one. You can buy this very expensive part used very reasonably if you need it. www.car-part.com Go to bottom of page when you have searched and look for the page with the asterisk * it will have the cheapest part.
There is also a device on the drivers side fender that can go bad and give you a no start condition. I forget what you call it but it controls the spark.
There is also a hall effect sensor in the distrubitor on the back of the head that is known to go bad. Usually it will start but then not restart when hot or run rough when it goes bad.
One more electrical thing. On the coolant bottle on the passenger side there is a relay called the radio supression relay. It supplies power to the injectors. When it goes bad it leads to a no start. If you have two relays there you can switch them to see if that is the problem.
Check for gas and spark. No gas fuel pump, fuel pump relay or radio supression relay. No spark ignition module on drivers fender, air mass, or hall pickup. Let me know what you find.
Fuel pump relay is behind the ashtray second row on the left white by drivers knee. You can tap it with your finger and if it starts now it is the fuel pump relay. good luck!!! A lot of us have been there.

I think my fuel pressure regulator might be bad and it may be allowing too much fuel pressure. I unhooked the injector clips and cranked it over while spraying starting fluid into the intake and the car fired up. I plugged the injector clips back and the car wouldn't fire up. I pulled the plugs out, noticed they were soaked with fuel, cranked it over with them out, and noticed a LOT of fuel mist spraying out. I will see if I can find a FPR at a junkyard and give it a try in the morning.
I hope this fixes the problem...

Fuel pump regulator is only 43$ new at fpc groton, I wasn't sure what year you have

Well I put a new FPR in and it is still getting way too much fuel.
Any ideas?

check coolant temperature sensor. not the one for the gage the one that feeds information to the ecu. If it is bad it can cause this . If coolant temp sensor tests good check the wiring to the ecu and grounds. Signal voltage is small and and additional resistance (bad connection) will cause trouble.
