Hello I have a 98 Volvo v70r AWD, the engine has suspect head gone, I have a 2.4t5, will this run on the motronic 4.4 as a bolt in and go solution?

I am also facing the same and just took my car to the service center. So just waiting for my car to come back.

A T5 motor is a 2319cc engine with same stroke as the 2435cc engine but with smaller bore.

Therefore T5s are known as 2.3s .

Your R should be a 2.3 and the T5 also a 2.3. The detail is not in the motor itself but in the ECU and boost settings.

If you have a 2.4T or 2.4 LPT motor beware the higher compression ratio will result in overboost and detonation if not dealt with carefully.

Hi sorry didn't get my email to say anyone replied!

Mike what do you have to do to deal with overboost? I was thinking green injectors and a remap, the 2.3 is knackered but the 2.4 t5 I can get!

Does the 2.4 have vvt? Does this matter or will the motronic 4.4 run it?

Is there too much to do, should I source a 2.3, ultimately I want more power and thought the 2.4 would do this?
