1994 850 turbo will not start - engine swap question

Post by JasonO »

my engine will not start and I think it needs to be replaced
i still need to do a compression test and i have a new cam position sensor that i can try
battery is fine : all electrical works
new spark plugs installed
recently rebuilt alternator
fuel pressure is good

anything else i could try?

if i do need to replace, i saw a used non-turbo for sale online...can i use that in my car?

Yes you can use it if you are ready to convert the entire motor and electronic system to NA. It would be easier to just purchase another car than do the conversion.

Do the compression test and go from there.
