94 850 after spring seat replacement whats wrong

94 850 after spring seat replacement whats wrong

Today I changed the spring seat. Something seems wrong. Top left a space that should not be. What was wrong?

There is supposed to be a space. Is the other side like that or not?

I did not know that there should be a space.
The other side needs replacing, I can not evaluate according to that side
