2009 S80 windshield washer jet

Post by SPOONER17 »

Hello

I have a 2009 S80 and am having a problem with the windshield washer jets. The headlight jet works fine, but the hood jets hardly pump anything out. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

I just bought an 09 S80, none of the jets work. I investigated and the head lamp pump is not running but the wind screen pump is. However nothing would come out the hood nozzles. I think they may be clogged. Not sure if you have resolved the problem yet since this post is an old post. Let me know anything you have learned. The lower pump goes to hood jets, and it has a screen that can get clogged.

I have similar problem, but different cause. I noticed whenever I filled up washer fluid it'd immediately leak out from under the car. I pulled driver wheel, tub and reservoir and noticed prior owner sliced a short runner hose onto the end of the plastic high pressure hose, but I'm sure from the pressure of the pump "shot" the makeshift connection between the two hose types apart.

I'm looking to just glue the two pieces back together instead of buying the 69 dollar complete plastic hose harness unless another member has a better recommendation.
