2006 S60 R Cupped tires

I have a cupping issue with my tires. Before I replace them with a new set, I want to get a handle on the cause of the cupping. Is it a suspension issue? Will I need the tech to check my struts? What I don't want to happen is spend the $ on four expensive tires to have them cupped after 6,000 miles. Any advice would be appreciated.

How is the rebound on the struts ? Just pushing down the side of the car and quickly release it, does it go up, down then stops moving? How much did the tires cost?

When I push down, it comes back up and stops moving.

The current tires are Pirelli P6.

Cupping fronts or rears? inside or outside edge or both edges?

Does it look like in the 3rd picture? Do you do launches ?

Cupped on the front outside edges.

When you run your finger along the circumference of tire, you can feel it on every other tread.

In regard to the third picture, my tires aren't to that extreme. I don't know what launches are.

If it's the same on both front tires my guess it's the geometry needs to be checked.

Yes, get alignment checked. Should be a faint amount toed out.

i ruined a set of tires because they were cupped.. I was just getting an alignment basically once a year.. Now I get it done 4 times a year... I have the lifetime alignment at firestone. Solved my issues.
