Volvo PC Cable...

I have a 2001 Volvo C70 and the SRS light recently came on. I have an Autel MaxiDiag EU702 reader that can tell me that the SRS light is on because of the driver's side seat side airbag but unfortunately the reader can't reset the SRS light. I believe I kicked the connector loose and this is the reason that the light came on but need to reset it to confirm this is true.

I know there is PC software out there that will allow me to reset the SRS light and I have seen the serial-to-OBD ii plugs that you can buy on Ebay, etc. I just noticed that the cable on my MaxiDiag EU702 is a serial-to-OBD ii cable. Do you think this will work or is there something special about the cables that are listed on Ebay? Also I know a search will answer this but which software do I need to reset the SRS light on a 2001 C70? Thanks in advance!

The interface you need is called DiCE connected to a PC running Vida software, the DiCE units can be purchased from a certain online auction site and are often bundled with the software required - Mike

Thanks Mike! Anyone in the Bay Area (Mountain View) have this setup that I can use to try and reset my SRS light?

Go through the EOBD menu on the EU 702 instead of the regular menu. It has the ability to reset your SRS as long as you find the source of the fault and correct the problem.

What he said. The eu702 will say it can't be reset if the fault is still active.

Unfortunately I get a linking error when I try to connect via EOBD. Tried several times. It pauses on certain protocols but can't link for some reason.
