97 850R Cat is hanging, solutions?

Post by 850_GLT_Owner »

I hit a small bump yesterday and my catalytic converter decided to disconnect from the rest of the exhaust(starting at the engine, it broke just after the cat). I really hope there is a way to fix this that I can do at home. Is there a clamp I can use or does it have to be welded?

If its a weld that broke then it would be best to have it re-welded. You can try clamping but youll probably have a leaky exhaust.

If it broke after the cat, then the cat didn't break off, right? The exhaust AFTER the cat broke off?
