How to re-attach S80 bumper cover

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

How to re-attach S80 bumper cover

Post by gl5678 »

When I was backing out from a parking stall the front lip (bottom of the front bumper cover) of our 1999 S80 T6 caught a re-bar sticking out from the concrete barricade at the front of the stall. As a result the front bumper cover was detached from the clips mounted on the bumper on the driver side. All of the rivets attaching the bumper cover to the fenderwell shield also popped out  . Here is a picture:

I searched the web and could not find any information on removing/installing the bumper/bumper cover. Can someone provide some instructions or point me to a book/site etc. Thanks!

Take it to a body shop and see what they would fix it for you for. That's what I had to do on my S80. Good Luck.
