2001 V70 Buy or NO Buy Topic is solved

Hello,

I had almost made up my mind to buy a 2001 V70 T5 ( 60 K miles ) before I looked at this forum. Since this is my first volvo, I didnt know anything about ETM problem..and how sever it is. Since I really want to buy this car, just want to double check....how serious is this problem? If the car has 100K warranty ..is still not worth it for around 14Gs? Any other suggestions before I decide on this?

You should read all of Don Wilson's website vexedvolvo before making your decision. It will tell you everything you need to know regarding the ETM. The failure rates vary but can be a serious safety issue if it stalls in heavy traffic.
