2013 XC70 T6 has gone into lockdown!

Our 2013 XC70 has gone into lockdown. I went out to use the car, the alarm went off for no apparent reason and now the car is in lockdown. The dash lights dont work, the car wont start, the doors wont lock or unlock (they just stay unlocked), the brake booster seems to have set the pedal brake to full on, I can't move the transmission. Can anyone help? Car is in garage but I called roadside and they said they would have it towed to dealer to get it looked at.

Did your battery go dead?

That was my first thought. Battery probably has a defective cell.
