I'm hoping has a bright idea that we haven't thought of yet. I had a deer run into the side of my V70 and take out all the body panels between the wheels on the driver side. I was able to pick out the doors and fender from a yard and my buddy is doing the work for me.
The problem we're having at the moment is that the back door is not fitting exactly right. I haven't seen it myself, but from what he's describing to me the top rear corner is tight. It opens and closes hard because the weather stripping is wedged between the door and the frame. Since the hinges are welded on so there does not seem to be any adjustments available. Our thought is to shim up the bottom hing with a washer to two. Anyone know of any other trick shy of cutting and re-welding the hinges?
