Wheels and tires: '99->'98 swap?

Post by ecberr »

Hello,
Anybody know if the rims and tires from my 99 v70xc would fit my 98 v70 base? How about the brakes? Thanks
Ed

Wheels, yes. Brakes, probably. It should be a simple brake swap. One year* Volvo went to 302mm brakes, but I'm pretty sure both these cars were still 280mm. You can just measure the rotors on both. If they're the same, swap away. If not, you can still swap, you'll just have to swap wheels with brakes. Make sense?

* this also might be model-dependent, meaning only R and C70 had the big brakes. I'm too lazy to look it up.

pretty sure it's not all of them. i believe it was an option on 98+ T5s, infrequently purchased.

The 99 model year had two brake sizes according to the parts guys, with my T5 having the larger ones
