Service Light Question
Service Light Question
My service light is coming on everytime I turn on the car and it goes off after about a couple minutes or so. Any particular reason why? I have a '93 850GLT with just over 200K on it. The last time it went in for major service was last June and everything had checked out fine. I didn't think I should need to take it in again so soon. I read somewhere this happens as a reminder? Any truth to that? Is this a normal thing to happen?

It is milage driven. If you have put enough miles on it for it to trip again...

On later model cars, it is also time driven, but not sure about the '93 850. Anyway, your mechanic has been resetting this each time your car was serviced. Since you haven't had servicing in awhile it's coming on as a reminder. You can turn it off with instructions from here:
