No heat to the floor

No heat to the floor

I have a newly purchased 1997 850 GLT. I just noticed that when I put the dial to the floor position, no heat goes there. Any ideas? How and what do I need to do to check it? Thanks.

My car just devolped the same problem and I'm told its a bad actuator, I plan on working on it this week, I will let you know out come.

Had the same problem but the cause was not electrical. I don't remember the details, but my mechanic (independant Volvo guy) told me it was a common problem with older cars; there's a plastic shaft that was broken, holding the cables from openning the floor flap. He had his guy repair it by melting plastic and it held through the winter...
