1993 850 Oil Level Sensor Location

Post by slantvaliant »

The oil level light came on in my '93 850. I've read various threads that say I can disconnect the sensor, but I'm having a problem actually finding it before I make the repair/replace/remove decision. Does anyone have photos and/or really specific directions?

I found what looks like the oil pressure sender, but there's no other sensor-looking device nearby.

While I was crawling around underneath, I also found a pair of loose wires coming out of the harness in that general vicinity - tan with white stripes, and black. Whatever connector was on them has been ripped off, and the wires are hanging near the center of the car at the front of the engine. I couldn't see any connectors missing wires, but visibility isn't the best down there. Any ideas what those wires might go to?

Thanks for any help.
