Can window tint affect AM reception?

Can window tint affect AM reception?

I have a 2006 Volvo S40. I recently had the windows tinted and now I get horrible reception on AM stations. My manual does not say if the AM antena is located in the back windsheild or in the "fin" on top of the car. Have you heard of this happening before? I want to make sure the problem is not with the tint before I take it into the dealer.
