1986 745t 5spd Wires dangling under body beside gear shifter

Hello
There is a group of wires (4 in total)
The green goes to the overdrive, and is connected to the solenoid.
The blue turns into a red after a rubber connector.
Two with rubber ends sit halfway down the gearbox and are missing their insulation.

Could someone identify these please.

The OD uses a 4th gear switch so that OD only works in 4th. There are two switches on top cover. One for reverse lights and the other the 4th gear sw.
Does the OD work?
Do the reverse lights work?

Humm, Thought the reverse lights worked. But then again!
I had thought the reverse lights were activated by the gear selector in the car, not externally on the transmission.
The two open banana type plugs have lost all the insulation and are exposed. Where should these go to or come from.
I would suspect the reverse light connection on the transmission is on the drivers LHD side. Correct?
