1987 Volvo 740 GLE. Door trim questions.

I have scoured the internet in regards to the proper way to remove the door trim on my 87 740 gle. The door trim I am trying to remove / install is the metal trim by the window on the front and rear doors. I haven't started the front door yet as it seems simple enough. The rear side doors are the ones I am having difficulty with. There is the metal trim piece with the window scrapers on it, but there is a rubber trim piece that isn't attached to the metal trim, it is attached under the rectangular shaped glass on it the rear side door. The trim seems to pop off pretty easy just prying at it, but it is hanging up on the rubber trim piece. If anyone knows what I am talking about some help would be nice!. I have thought about prying the rubber piece out but I dont want to mess the door trim up as it is hard to come by. I uploaded a picture pointing out what piece I am referring to. Thanks.
