2000 V70 Check engine light on

Hello,
So I recently changed the O2 sensor, because that is what the code at the auto store and the DEQ smog check said. After I replaced it I disconnected the battery to reset the check engine light, but it came back on about half an hour later. is it possible that I didn't get it wired correctly or is there maybe something more wrong. Any ideas as where to go from here would be very helpful.

It's tough to say without knowing the code number. The auto parts store description of what the code means is typically wrong but you can be sure that the "cure" will be an expensive part like an oxygen sensor. Most codes that refer to an oxygen sensor trim limit are actually due to vacuum line leaks.

The replacement part brand is also pretty important. I think on your car the sensor should have been a Denso.

What you need to do is have the codes read again and then post back the actual P code number. It will be the letter P followed by four digits. We can give you some suggestions after we know the code number.
