Hello!
I had my power steering belt go on me while I was driving last night, and in order to replace it I have to remove the other two belts on the car. I removed the alternator belt no problem, just loosened the large bolt that adjusted the belt tension, however, when i try to do the same for the A/C belt nothing is happening. The bolt is spinning but the belt isn't getting any slack. Need to figure out how to get this belt off, preferably without damaging the belt. Thanks in advance!

IIRC, there are some three nuts that have to be loosened. If all three can not be found, the battery could be disconnected, and then remove wires from alternator, and then remove alternator. Then, those nuts can be unloosened.catieb33 wrote:A/C belt
As they say,
"To replace the fan belts: loose the adjusting screws of the powersteering pump, alternator and airco pump (in case the Volvo has airconditioning). Remove the old fan belts and install the new ones. Tighten the adjusting screws until you’ll can push down the fan belt about 1cm (0.4 inch) and you’re done. Note: most fan belts needs to be adjusted after a while when they’re just installed because the belts will be strained after installation and driving."
