I need to find an independent mechanic in Colorado to replace my transmission. I live in the Denver area. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest moving the post in the 2001-2007 section. Your car has a well known issue in the 2001-2002 models, If I risk myself with an advice, try to find out if a 2003+ (preferably 2005 and up) used transmission can be installed in your car.
