I left my volvo V70 and tried to lock it with my key as usual ( I do not have remote locking ), but I could not, the key can turn freely at right or left direction 380 degree without locking the car, I can lock the car from inside but not from outside. I have to always keep the car unlocked.
If any one from the forum could help me to solve the problem, I should be very grateful.

I seem to remember there is a plastic clip that holds the rod from the key lock assembly to the rod that goes to the latch, and this can break if the system isn't lube correctly. I think the part is still available.
You will need to remove the door card, pull back the plastic liner at the rear top to access the lock assembly.
Neil.
