You will need a large flat blade screwdriver and a 4 mm allen wrench (AKA 'hex key').
Open the trunk and locate the two flaps on the trunk liner on the top storage area. Under one flap is the place where the 4 mm fits and the other will have a white slot for the screwdriver.
Insert the allen wrench and turn it and watch for the rear edge of top frame to go up approx 1 inch.
if you turn the 4 mm and it begins to bind you have turned it the wrong direction.
Once the frame is released grab the back frame and fold it forward all the way.
Use the screwdriver and push in and then turn the coverplate latch motor several rounds until the forward edges of the coverplate lift 3/4 inch. Now use the 4 mm nd continue to turn it until the coverplate stands upright and the 4mm binds.
Now take the 4mm and sit in car and remove the oblong cover on front edge of top. The details of this and the location of the trunk manual controls are in the owner's manual.
Use the 4mm and insert it into the hex on the motor and turn it until the front edge of top lifts above windshield frame about 4 inches or the wrench gets harder to turn and binds.
Now lift by hand the front edge of top all the way up and over and push it down into top storage cavity.
Now use 4mm in trunk to lower coverplate and continue until the wrench binds. This lowers the cover and then the linkage continues down to keep the top pushed down so it can't bounce.
Now use the screwdriver pushed in and turned to pull down the front edges of coverplate. Turn until you hear latches click and once complete turn screw driver back easily and the white screw will pop out and re-engage the motor.
You are finished.
