While a .010" transaxle shim is available from TripleEdge, the postage cost is significant at $30-40 (to Australia). The .020" final drive shim required are significantly larger diameter for the Volvo over the GM transmissions and are not available.
I've looked at having some laser cut shims made locally and have been quoted A$90 (their minimum order) which would give me 6 of each size spare.
This is a long shot, but is there anyone who knows of a more cost effective way to make these shims and could post them to Australia? If not I'll get them made locally and be able to supply for transmission rebuilds
