Hey,
I have recently purchased a 2002 Volvo S60 and have experienced issues shortly after.
The issue first occurred while the car was in idle and it later progressed and occurred while I was going 70 mph on the highway.
I have replaced the camshaft sensor but the issue remains
Reading suggest that I need to replace the MAF. Not sure if I should buy the buy the part just yet.
Please note. Upon purchasing the vehicle, the car had electrical issues. The electricity in the dash would go in and out, meaning one minute it would work and not the next
I'm open for suggestions. Please reply if needing further details.
Thanks
David

Hello,
It is not a turbo.
I have had codes ran before replacing the camshaft sensor, but the OEM Brand was Volkswagen
The guy who assisted me with the code reading said this was most similar.

It would be helpfull if you could test the ETM to see the response to pedal signal, not sure if Vida does that. Hopefully someone will jump in to clarify. What happens is that the pedal sensor sends a signal to the ecu which in turn drives the ETM with a proportional signal. The ETM responds with a signal to the ecu since this is a closed loop system. If this feedback is erratic then you have these symptoms.

Hi everyone
I have the same symptoms on my V70 non turbo 2004 .I was sure it was the Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) so I bought a new one but to no avail.Same as before.
Now , I wanna go to a mechanic to check this problem .
What is your opinion he should be investigating?
What are the steps to follow in these cases?
Any idea/ advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks

You can run the ETM potentiometer sweep test with VIDA/DiCE and you can also read the pedal sensor output (request) itself.
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
