2005 V50 T5 FWD - Power seat memory loss

Seems like this car has a mind of its own. The power seats lose memory. Radio station presets lose memory (premium sound system). Exterior flashing lights for remote key lock are hit and miss. I was blaming the kids, but now realize there is something going on with the communications. Have tried to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery and holding the cables together, no improvements. Any ideas?

The battery is new. Another strange thing. The radio will remain energized after the car is turned off and the key is left in the ignition (key turned all the way off). Even after opening the door and exiting the car.
