2002 S80 Electronic Climate Control Stopped Working

Hello,
I replaced the battery on my 2002 s80 and the entire ECC console stopped working, ie; heat and AC controls, heated seats, window and mirror defroster, blower everything went dead after the new battery was installed. Does anyone know why this happened and more importantly what can I do to fix or correct the problem.
