I believe this is on the steel pipe running back to the bulkhead on the RH side oh the car. If the system is already de-gassed, then it is easy to replace, but I would take it to an A/C repair shop and get them to fit the part and re-gas. Check on one of the on-line Volvo dealer web sites as they have good parts break downs which will help you find the location.

Hey Neil is it just a simple unscrew .....I know that changing this switch would not affect the gas status, Is that right?....
Thank you!!

Also as the part website says it is located behind the passenger headlight.

P80 is schrader valve fitting mounted on the high side line. The ones on receiver/drier on integrated receiver driver on condenser are not on schrader valves and must be evacuated or it is dangerous to remove.

Thanks Jimmy for your reply....Just to make sure , The high pressure switch located right behind the passenger head light is screwed over a schrader valve, so I guess there would not be a problem to remove it and replace it ?...Am I correct!!...Please refer to the attached picture.
Thank you!!

If I read what jimmy57 says, you are 100% off on your assumption. It reads to me that it is NOT on a schrader valve so system has to be evacuated first. Appreciate not everyone can afford to do it, but like I said earlier, I would take the car to a pro and get them to fit your part and re-pressurise your a/c. Then they can re-check your system to make sure all is well.

@Scot850 if you took sometime to look at the picture above you will see that it is referring to the HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH MOUNTED ON A SCHRADER VALVE...... So I am 100% sure of my assumption...
