1995 850 turbo no fire
Hey guys need help please. Gave my son my 95 850 and he ran it hot, blew head gasket. I pulled the head and sent to machine shop for resurfacing and valve job. Put every thing back and now I have no fire ( I have checked this 2 ways one with spark plug grounded and again with spark plug checker)note the car ran before the tear down. I rechecked all electrician connections, pulled the cam sensor turned 180 degrees, nothing. I then replaced cam sensor ( I have a 1997 GLT donor), nothing. I replaced the coil wire to distributor. Replaced with donor coil and finally bought new coil. Nothing I checked with test light and have voltage to the 2 wires on the coil. Checked with a screwdriver stuck in coil wire end to ground, had wife crank it over no fire/ spark. Timing marks still dead on. The engining is not firing at all, no hit or back fire. Plenty of fuel at the fuel rail. What have I missed? Please help

Couldn't swear that it is plugged up since it too late to check tonight but almost certain I plugged up everything. I have looked all the wiring and plugs over a least a dozen times. I will check tomorrow and report back. Thanks for the advice.

I don't see how that fuel injector relay would relate to a no spark condition.
How about the crank sensor, can you swap that out with the one from the 97?

I realize you've changed the spark coil but are you absolutely sure the new one is good?
I fried one by turning the engine without the high tension wire connected. Just a thought.

As I posted above already replaced cam sensor which I removed from donor car that was running when I parked it. I have tried 2 used coils and a brand new one surely all 3 are not bad but who knows stranger things have happened. And to answer tryinbe, yes the injector relay is plugged up. I have fuel no fire. Is there a way to check the coil? Please any more ideas will tried because I am at the end of my rope.

Not the cam sensor, I did read that, but rather the *crank* sensor. Check its connector, if it looks good then try swapping in the one from the 97. The crank sensor connector is basically right next to the one for the cam sensor, but the sensor itself attaches into the top of the transmission, sort of straight down from the front of the engine mount bracket.erikv11 wrote:I don't see how that fuel injector relay would relate to a no spark condition.
