Is it a true 850R

I have a 96 850 GLT and have found a 850R 5 speed local to me for sale and am just wondering how to tell if it is a true R or a Replica. From everything I have read only auto's were sent state side so if it's a true R I would assume someone swapped a 5 speed into it.

If it is even a turbo then it was a 5 speed swap unless it was not originally built for the USA. The way to tell a true R is with the VIN number. The VIN will be YV1Lx58 for a true R. The x will be either a S or a W depending own whether it is a sedan or a wagon.
