2005 V50 T5 FWD - Creaking Noise

Post by Reinie »

I have a creaking noise coming from my front suspension, passanger side. It sounds like an old wooden boat. It occurs only in cold temperatures. It does not occur when steering. It occurs when the car bounces, such as slowly going over a speed bump. Anyone have a solution to this?

Can't believe you have had that many views and no replies. Check the anti-sway bar end links (disconnect it on the side that is creaking and see if noise goes away), possibly worn ball joint, and lastly the anti-sway bar bushes can cause a groaning, but more normally a knocking noise.

Actually one more, could be upper spring cup has worn out. This is a common issue with 2005- S40/V50 cars.
