2000 v70xc is the motor in the C70 the same?

i have a guy interested in my recently dead v70xc. lost the t-belt and crashed valves into pistons. he really only wants the motor (block & bottom end). he broke a rod in his 2000 c70. he has a good head. are the motors in these 2 models the same?

Pretty sure the XC had the 2.4L and the C70 have a 2.3L.

Depnds of what engine is in that c70.

thanks guys. i do have a 2.4l. if the c70 has a 2.4l, are the motors interchangable? the buyer wants to take the block and bottom end from my donor, fit his good head to it, then drop it into the c70.
