2005 xc90 compressor clutch burned up

Hi this is my first time posting. My ac compressor clutch has seized up and it looks like the rubber bushing has melted. I look on the internet and found a compressor clutch kit. I am wondering if I can change the clutch without removing the compressor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since my last post I have picked up some info on my 2005 xc90 ac compressor. Volvo does sell the clutch assembly by itself , but you need a puller to get the clutch off and you do need to remove the compressor. I was able to drain the coolant, remove a radiator hose, the power steering pump, and the alternator to get to get to the compressor from the top.
I am planing to change the whole compressor since I'm not sure what damage has been done to the compressor itself. The compressor with clutch assembly, expansion valve, and new dryer filter, was about 800.
I'm waiting on the parts now so I'm hoping it goes back togather nice.
