2007 S60 Sideview mirror vibration

Hello, friends.
I was riding shotgun in my wife's 2007 S60 yesterday and noticed that at 50mph and above, the passenger-side sideview mirror vibrates quite a bit. It seems to be the glass and not the entire mirror assembly that is moving. Any suggestions on what is going on, and how to fix it, would be most appreciated.

Perhaps the mirror part is not solidly fixed. Try shaking it by hand to see. Not sure how to fix it, perhaps replace the whole part with a used one?

I had broken "ear" in 2002 V70. Fixed with a bit of glue and a piece of sponge to refortify it.

I had the same problems on my wife s60R on both mirrors turned out the glass came loose from the plastic piece so some good glue fixed the problem and 2 years now still holding

Any suggestion on how one dismantles the housing, in order to apply glue?

if you play around with just the glass mine just came off right while on the highway

then just apply glue to the back of the glass

have you check these interior trim clips on that mirror?

I had vibration on my right sideview mirror similar to what you described but mine is an 02 XC70. It was fixed by replacing those clips and tightening the bolt(s)!
