Hi,
Did a look up for a non-Volvo source for replacing the 4 bulbs in the ECC unit on a S/V70. Can find lots of references to 850's but none that I could find for these cars.
I think it was Eric that gave a source from Mouser for the bulbs for the switches, which I bought and have used with great success.
Any suggestions for a similar source for these, or what the specs are for the bulbs?
Thanks,
Neil.

I did this on my 2000 S70 recently. You can buy the bulbs online for about 8 dollars a piece if I remember correctly (four of them). I went the cheap route and bought the Radio Shack bulbs that can be used for the console buttons. You just have to disassemble these bulbs carefully, since there is a plastic coating on the bulbs that needs to be reused. Works good as new and the only minor difference is the brightness, since the Radio Shack bulbs are smaller wattage size.

If the 2000 is the same as the 1999 you can't tell the Radio Shack (still open?) bulbs from the originals, and they are 2 for a buck

Can the blue rubber covers be bought somewhere?
It looks like they are badly faded on my XC. The result is that the illumination of the ECC is pretty much white vs. green and therefore does not match the radio and other stuff.
Thanks.

Thanks for the help guys, but what I need ideally is a part number or spec for the bulb. We have The Source in Canada which was Radio Shack at one point and they use same part numbering system. I have bought the small switch bulbs in the past from them, but now buy from Mouser as way cheaper!
If I can get a bulb spec, then I can look to see if mouser or others have a similar bulb in bulk and post back for everyone.
Thanks,
Neil.

Radio shack lists them as 12V, 60 mA bulbs.

The blue rubber can be bought at arrow.com or digikey.com but it is a darker blue!
Been there done that.
Best is to keep the old rubber cover, then use a Blue Sharpie pen to paint the faded part.
Or try junk yard etc.

Thanks guys! Also see that you can now buy blue bulbs in some cases. Might spring for some and see how they compare with the blue cover. I have 2 spare ECC units and it is easy to swap out to compare.
