2005 XC70 Driver Power Seat height motor

Post by geminiys »

I was wondering if anyone has a parts list of the driver seat. I am looking for height adjustment motor bracket part number that sits underneath the seat right in front as you look at it. Mine broke at the welding joints and motor is just hanging loose.
Any place where it can be purchased besides dealer?

Thank you

Never heard of that happening.
As long as the wires aren't under a tension, nothing will go bad by just leaving it there or you can (HD) tape it back up.
Not sure if the part is even available

Thank you for replying but it did happen. That is why I am looking to see if the metal bracket is sold separately or with motor only. Taping it won't solve the issue, as any adjustment made will rip the tape apart as motor need to be tight in the position to move the rod screw to perform adjustment.

If braket broke at the welds not sure how you'd get that as spare part. What about removing seat and taking it to a shop wbere they can tack it back onto the seat frame? They'll charge you next to nothing for several tack welds, it's all your labor.
